因为甲处于十天干和十二地支的首位，故将给八卦六个爻配置天干地支的过程，称为纳甲。

纳甲装卦法先将六十四卦分为八宫，即乾、坎、艮、震、巽、离、兑、坤八宫。每宫八个卦，共六十四卦。每宫的八个卦以八纯卦为首卦（也叫本宫卦），统领其余七卦，宫中每卦均有世爻、应爻。然后以首卦所属的五行，与卦中六爻装配的地支五行相互之间的生、克关系，定出“六亲”。由于八卦纳天干在纳甲筮法中一般考虑得少，历来学易者论述的也少，故只作简单介绍。八卦纳十二地支，是纳甲筮法中最主要的内容，须用心领会。

一、八卦纳干的规则

乾内卦纳甲，外卦纳壬；

坤内卦纳乙，外卦纳癸；

震纳庚；巽纳辛；

坎纳戊；离纳已；

艮纳丙；兑纳丁；

二、八卦纳支的规则

1.六爻中的地支排法是隔位而排，由下往上排。

2.依据“阳卦配阳支顺排，阴卦配阴支逆排”的规则，乾、坎、艮、震四阳卦六地支顺配“子寅辰午申戌”系列里的六个；巽、离、兑、坤四阴卦六地支逆配“丑亥酉未巳卯”系列里的六个。其中：乾、震两卦六个爻中的地支排列相同。

下面是八卦纳十二地支图（阳顺阴逆，顺序而行）。
